Vegan Eggnog Smoothie


Eggnog is truly festive. Coming in at 145 calories once again it’s a great light snack alternative. The active principles in nutmeg have many therapeutic applications in many traditional medicines as anti-fungal, anti-depressant, aphrodisiac, digestive, and carminative functions (that means it can help to relieve wind!). Dates are also a good source of many vitamins and minerals including Vitamin A, iron , potassium, calcium, manganese and copper which are good for blood, skin and bones and dates are also known to replenish energy and revitalize the body instantly. Just what you need in your afternoon tipple.

This recipe will make 2 delicious drinks.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 dates, pitted

METHOD

  1. In a high-speed blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.
