Immune Boosting Tea


If you are feeling a little run down and colder than usual as the weather changes tack this week, why not try a refreshing 9 calorie, anti-oxidant, immune boosting tea. The combination of ginger, lime and turmeric not only warms you deep inside but it provides excellent cleansing of the cells, stress relief and can also aid in weight loss and give your skin a much needed glow.

INGREDIENTS (serves 2)

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 inch piece of ginger
  • 1 inch piece of turmeric
  • 1 lime

METHOD

  1. In a saucepan, boil water, ginger, and turmeric for 7 minutes.
  2. Strain as you pour the liquid into teacups.
  3. Squeeze in the juice of the lime (you can also include the rind).
  4. Drink warm.

*Remember when preparing and handling the turmeric to wear gloves or you risk having yellow fingers for a few days!!
