ATTITUDE. Your attitude – how you feel about what you are doing and why you are doing it – will determine how well you do. We all have many choices to make in life but our main concern should be for our own health. With good health, we can accomplish many more of our life goals and reap the rewards that a longer enjoyable life can bring.

You may feel down about your weight but you are the only one who can decide to do something about it. Once you make that decision then you will find that you are not the only one dealing with these issues and help is available.

NUTRITION.

It is so easy to say “exercise and eat right” when offering weight loss advice. If you gear your mind to eating healthy foods for the sole reason that you will ‘lose weight’, what happens once you reach your target weight?That’s right! You go ‘off’ your ‘diet’ and the weight comes back on with a vengeance. However, if this time you vow to live healthy and realise that consuming proper nutrition is simply part of a healthy life, then you are much more likely to keep with it long term – not only to lose excess weight, but also to live the life of your dreams for the rest of your life.

EXERCISE.    You have to move your body, get oxygen flowing and build muscle and strong bones.

If the most you can do today is walk for 5 minutes on the spot, then walk for 5 minutes on the spot. We all have to start somewhere. It is about increasing the things that we do, getting into a good habit and reaching small achievable goals which in turn build up to the larger end goal. Gradually increase your level of fitness until you can take part in some activity a few times a week, lift some weights and get your body moving. You’ll feel better for it in body, mind and spirit.

WATER.

Water is extremely important for a successful weight loss. Our bodies and more importantly our brains are made up of 75-80% water. It makes sense that if you aren’t consuming fresh water each day that you will become a dehydrated stagnant pool of water – and that just cant be a good thing. Water is nature’s best and healthiest appetite suppressant and is vital for so many of our bodily functions from regulating temperature to cellular energy production and most importantly flushing our bodies of waste. So drink water and a lot of it. It will do your body good!
